Marble Worktops Sheffield

Nothing looks quite like real marble. We template, cut, polish and fit marble kitchen worktops, islands and splashbacks from our Sheffield workshop, for homes across South Yorkshire and the surrounding counties.

Why choose marble?

  • One of a kind – every slab has its own veining, so no two kitchens are the same
  • Timeless – suits classic, period and modern kitchens alike
  • Naturally cool – the traditional choice for baking and pastry
  • Adds value – a premium natural stone buyers notice
  • Carrara – soft grey veining on a white or pale grey background, the classic Italian marble
  • Calacatta – brighter white with bolder, more dramatic veining
  • Statuario – crisp white with striking grey veins
  • Darker and coloured marbles – greens, blacks and warm tones for a statement island

We can help you choose the slab and plan where the veining falls across your worktops, joints and island.

Living with marble – the honest bit

Marble is softer than granite or quartzite and reacts with acids, so it needs a little more care:

  • Etching – lemon juice, vinegar, wine and some cleaners can leave dull marks on the surface. A honed (matt) finish hides etching better than polished.
  • Sealing – seal regularly to help stop stains soaking in.
  • Everyday care – wipe spills promptly, use chopping boards and trivets, and clean with a pH-neutral stone cleaner.

Many owners love the way marble gains a gentle patina over time. If you'd rather avoid it, ask us about quartzite or marble-look quartz.

Marble worktop FAQs

How much do marble worktops cost? Marble is priced slab by slab, depending on the type, grade and size of your kitchen, so we quote each job individually. Send us your sizes for a free quote.

Is marble good for a kitchen? Yes, if you're happy with a little extra care. It's heat tolerant and hard-wearing, but it can etch and stain more easily than granite, quartz or quartzite.

Polished or honed marble? Polished shows off the veining and colour; honed is more forgiving, hiding etching and light scratches better.

Do you supply marble offcuts? Sometimes – see our free offcuts or call to ask what's in.
